Gurajada Adugujadalloo....

'Desamante Matti Kaadoy...Desamante manushuloy'...entha goppa maata !!! Ilanti enno goppa alochanalanu prasadincharu Gurajada Appa Rao garu.  Telugu Sahithyam lo adhunikathaku karanam vaare.. Ivvanni naku ela thelusu anukuntunnara...Spandana vinte...intha kanna inka enno goppa viseshalu thelusthayi.

We by-hearted Gurajada's poems in our childhood.  We sing his songs on National Festivals.  We still remember his great novel 'Kanyasulkam'.  A social reformer, thinker, a great writer - this is what Gurajada is.  He is one of the rarest writers who could understand women and their point of view better.  He also made it clear that women have to help themselves and should not compromise for their rights.

This month Spandana celebrates his birth anniversary by dedicating two shows.  Prof Katyayani vidmahe, came all the way from Kakatiya Univesity, Warangal to present a show on 'Gurajada's Stree Patralu', that is the portrayal of women in his writings.  This show will be on-air on 30th November at 8am. Another one is..RJ Chinaveera Bhadrudu analyses the writings and life of Gurajada Appa Rao in his show Mohana Ragam.  You can listen to this show on this Saturday that is on 1st December at 9pm.

With great songs and great analysis of Gurajada's works, these shows are sure to trigger many thoughts in listeners' minds.

Jagame Maaya....

Jagame Maya Brathuke Maya....
Yevarikevaru ee lokamlo....
Anubandham Athmeeyatha Antha oka bootakam....

.....no, seriously I am not considering 'Sanyasam'..i am just trying to recall all the philosophical thoughts shared with us by great people.  'Thinkers' have had a tough time proposing different and drastic theories about life, society, behaviour and many more things which really need some 'MB' space in our brains.  Well, if you are looking for someone who can really explain in an easy way what all this philosophers and philosophy is all about, then join my party.

U know something, 15th to 18th November is dedicated to philosophy world wide.  UNESCO celebrates world philosophy day between these dates every year so RJ Mrunalini grabbed this occasion to analyse the philosophy of some world thinkers.  Socrates, etc (well, i know only one name.. heheheh) the theories they proposed, how it helped to change the perspective, etc.

Radio Spandana celebrates world philosophers day on 17th November, that is this Saturday at 10 am IST.  Do tune in for some interesting stuff and great songs.

pillaloo devudu...cool cool

Veledantha ledu...enni thelivi thetalo.....this dialogue is now-a-days a very common one.  God is creating super beings for the coming generations.  Just like computers are upgraded, children (that is the future of this earth) are coming into this world with high IQ, great grasping powers, daringly different thoughts, etc.  But they still want chocolates, junks, they still imagine things, they still have dream lands and fantasies which none of the grown-ups can understand.  They make you happy, furious, frustrated, proud, worried and ultimately drive you crazy.  They are cute and are very demanding.  Aakhir...bache tho bache hain......!! They make us feel us jealous with their 'no-hestitation' in saying nooooo, crying and emotionally blackmailing to get things done their way, etc.  So, as a famous quotation goes, we teach them what life is and they teach us what life is all about.

Radio Spandana is celebrating Children's day on 14th November in all its shows.  In Suswaralu at 8 am, Chandamama Betala kathalu will be broadcasted.  At 11 am,  meet the bacha party talking and talking and talking....about everything on this earth and not on this earth tooo....
And at 3 pm (IST), an exclusive interview with film maker Akkineni Kutumba Rao and another interview with brilliant child actor, who is no more a child now...that is Anand Vardhan at 7 pm (IST).

So be there to enjoy some cute shows and great songs on Spandana on 14th November from 7 am IST.

dhoom machale.....

patpatpatpatpattttt... shoooooooooooooo(rocket sound effectTongue out).
U no - 9th of November every home becomes dolby digital surrounded. why not? its deepawali-the festival of lights, lakshmi puja, delicious & mouth watering sweets and not to miss the mega event of the day - pataaakey.
we all know there are many stories related to diwali - it is marked as Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya after 14 year exile, the killing of narakasura by lord krishna's wife satyabhama which is marked as the victory of good over evil.  Worship of Goddess Lakshmi is done today as it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi emerged from Kshira sagar, the ocean of milk, during samudra manthan (the churning of the ocean of milk).
Spandana team ritually celbrates deepavali beginning with narrating deepavali katha, worshipping Goddess Lakshmi in Lakshmi Sankeertanam and also plays with firecrackers, by playing the most thakaal dhammal telugu film songs. i know i know you are waiting for the sweets. Well! we dont disappoint you on that. Victory Venkatesh spells his sweet words on deepawali in Priyaragalu.
So, aren't you not more eagerly waiting for deepawali? Smile

Cheyethi Jai kottu Telugoda

Telugu Jathi manadi, Ninduga velugu jathi manadi......writing this in English is what Telugu people and their attitude is all about!!!  yes, we glow with intelligence, warmth and dynamism, thats why Telugus are everywhere in the world, leading the progress that the world is undergoing these days.

And for Telugus Andhra Pradesh formation day is a great festival.  A festival of celebrating 'being Telugu'.  I am sure non-resident Telugus must be busy now preparing for the events that are held on 1st of November.  And this year is very very important as Andhra has completed 50 years.  Andhra Pradesh is the first state formed on the basis of language and then the rest followed.  And now, if you want to know more about this, you just need to tune into Radio Spandana on November 1st and 2nd at 7 am IST.  Prof Vakulabharanam Ramakrishna has given a very detailed story on the history and culture of Andhras.

The celebrations do not end there....Radio Spandana is celebrating Andhra Avatarana on 1st and 2nd right from 7 am IST.  Show on Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu, the man behind this whole 'own state for Telugus', on the legendary vaggeyakaras of Telugu land, Trendsetters of Telugu Film Industry (current), and a lot more stuff on Telugu language and Padyam with great songs...are the offerings of the one and only 24 hour Telugu Satellite Radio Station on WorldSpace network.  So, thappakunda vintaruga...mee spandana theliyachestaruga!!!!
